Official Name Search operates this website at officialnamesearch.com and is a service of its parent company, NetNation, 20 N. Wacker Drive, Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60606 ("we"). This policy describes what we collect and how we use it, in plain language.

What we collect

• Search activity. The business names and descriptions you search, the state you select, and your results — used to run the service and improve result quality.
• Email address — only if you choose to provide it to unlock results. We use it to send your verification link; reminders about your saved results and searches; and messages about products and services related to what you expressed interest in — such as domain registration and business-formation (LLC) offers from us and our partners, and similar offerings we may add. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• Usage analytics. Page views and product events (via Google Analytics and Mixpanel), including campaign parameters (such as utm codes and ad click identifiers) when you arrive from an ad or link.
• Technical data. IP address, browser type, and similar data — used for security (abuse and bot prevention), rate limiting, and approximate geolocation (e.g., pre-selecting your state).
• Cookies. A small number of cookies for session continuity, analytics identity, and remembering that you've verified an email. No third-party advertising cookies are set by us.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context advertising.
• We do not send marketing email to unverified addresses.

Service providers

We use a small set of processors to operate the service: cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services), content delivery and security (Cloudflare), email delivery (Resend), analytics (Google, Mixpanel), and — where enabled — a customer-relationship system for leads. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

Partner and affiliated links

Some outbound links lead to services we have a commercial relationship with: domain-registration links go to a store operated by our affiliated company, and business-formation links go to a partner whose sales we may benefit from. We may benefit commercially when you use these services. This never changes your search results or verdicts.

Your choices

• Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing deletes your email and saved results from our systems.
• You can use the search without providing any email at all.
